My middle to upper class community, $390,000 to $550,000 townhomes has a “lots” of Muslims moving in along with many other races recently. First of all I am not a racist, i don’t discriminate and have various clients from many countries, this post is about the change of demographics of which the community was in the past.
We did not start out as a family community, it was mostly middle age, middle class upper income Americans with some children that the majority spoke English.
For the last 4-5 years all I hear is foreign languages now, i get along with everyone but the mix here has changed dramatically.
The problem started when a board member didn’t limit the amount of homes that can be rented out because that board member wanted unlimited renters for his own profit. The rest of the board went along. Usually in townhome or higher end communities the Board limits rentals to 10% or a little higher to keep the home values higher, and more renters than that, downgrades the values of the homes.
So our community has a high level homes of renters or leasers and a lot of them speak many different languages. I hear them walking by my back deck and I haven't heard a real American or English speaker for a while, except the India renters. And it being a middle aged community we rarely had children (I love and have nothing against children), but there an ever increasing amount of young children.
We have some Mexicans or South Americans on their deck parties most weekends and the get very loud and argue a lot, two doors down, it doesn’t matter how late it is.
So today sitting on my deck, a van drove by and parked to visit a muslims rented home right across from me. This was the Mercedes van and this is what it said on the sude (see van pics).
This bothered me andthe real problem I have is the didn’t include “Jacob”. If you are trying to get Christians why would you forget Jacob? The demographics have changed dramatically in my community!
