Trump to appoint White House lawyer as next DEA chief

The Post reported that Uttam Dhillon, who currently works as deputy White House counsel, is likely to take over at the agency as soon as next week. Dhillon previously worked at the Justice Department and as a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles.

Dhillon’s pending appointment comes roughly two weeks after acting DEA director Robert Patterson announced he planned to retire. Patterson reportedly told employees that it became "increasingly challenging” to “decide and address priorities for years into the future."

The DEA is undergoing a leadership change as the Trump administration attempts to address the national opioid epidemic. As part of that effort, the government has sought to crack down on the distribution and use of prescription opioids.

The DEA is also at the front lines of Attorney General Jeff Sessions' hard-line views on marijuana.

Sessions told Hill.TV's "Rising" earlier this month that he believes President Trump would support legislation to protect states that decriminalize marijuana.

Any local anons up for taking actual pictures of crowd size at these protests since we know the MSM isn't honest in reporting? Q says their numbers are small. Keep your distance and stay safe. Might be useful to demonstrate how small the numbers actually are.

He's following the current law anon.

This administration is about returning to rule of law instead of rule of man.

The best way to get rid of a bad law is to enforce it.

Yelp reviewers give Canadian restaurant one star reviews after it kicks out Trump supporter

Reviewers flooded the Yelp page of a Canadian restaurant with one-star reviews after a manager was fired for kicking out a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

The Teahouse in Vancouver’s Stanley Park has come under fire for the incident, which occurred less than a week after White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was kicked out of a Virginia restaurant.

The negative reviews came from both sides of the aisle, with some critiquing the restaurant for kicking out the patron, and other tearing into the restaurant for firing the manager.
