A lot of people are buzzing about how items from the Rothschild family’s private collection will be up for auction for the first time.

In 2018, there was an auction that sold off items from David & Peggy Rockefeller’s collection that raked in over $800 million and broke records.

In the last year there have been two auctions that sold off items from the Ann & Gordon Getty collection that also broke records. Ann passed away in 2020; however, Gordon is still alive.

Does anyone find it strange that some of the richest old money family dynasties are auctioning off their fortunes?

Etymology

Ancient Greek Φαέθων, Phaethon, means "radiant", from the verb φαέθω, meaning "to shine."[1] Therefore, his name could be understood as, "the shining/radiant (one)" Ultimately the word derives from φάος, phaos, the Greek word for light, from the Proto-Indo-European root *bheh2-, 'to shine.'[2]

>There it is: The reporter who broke the “40 beheaded babies” story admits her source is Israeli soldiers who “believe” it happened. They’re not even claiming to be sure.
