Zelensky fears Israel will distract from Western aid to Kiev

The Ukrainian president has visited NATO headquarters, concerned that the flow of Western help could be imperiled

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has voiced concerns that the security crisis in the Middle East could draw international attention away from his country. He blamed Russia for the Hamas incursion into southern Israel last week.

“If international attention shifts away from Ukraine, one way or another, it will have consequences,” the Ukrainian leader warned in an interview with France 2 on Tuesday.

“The fate of Ukraine depends on the unity of the rest of the world,” he added, expressing hope that Washington would ensure continued assistance.

Zelensky was visiting Romania on Tuesday, where he met Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu. Speaking during a joint press conference, the president reiterated his claim that Moscow was to blame for the attack by the Palestinian militant movement.

Russia “helped Hamas and is behind Hamas,”he proclaimed without offering any specific evidence, referring instead to “signals” on social media.

Earlier in the week, Zelensky stated that according to Ukrainian intelligence services, Russia was “interested in triggering a war in the Middle East” to “undermine world unity”and “destroy freedom in Europe.”

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova mocked Zelensky’s remarks, suggesting that they may have been fueled by substance abuse.

On Wednesday, Zelensky made an unannounced visit to NATO headquarters in Brussels, where he reportedly sought reassurances that theHamas raid and Israel’s retaliation would not distract from attention to Ukraine. Speaking to journalists alongside NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Zelensky urged world leaders to go to Israel in a gesture of support to prevent further escalation. “We have not to give possibility for aggressors even to think about the third world war, the new wave of aggression,” he said, contrasting the approach to having “dialogue with Iran or Russia.” Some Western media reported that Iran may have been involved in the Hamas attack, but the assessment has not been supported by US intelligence. Tehran has denied those claims.

Last month, the US Congress declined to allocate money for Ukraine aid in a 45-day stopgap spending bill. The White House reportedly wants to include it in a package meant for Israel to overcome resistance from some lawmakers.

The Pentagon announced its latest $200 million package of assistance to Ukraine on Wednesday.

The Zelensky government has rejected the idea of peace talks with Russia and seeks a military victory with Western help instead. Moscow has argued that the US and its allies are using Ukrainians as “cannon fodder” in a proxy war against Russia.

(I wonder of Ukraine with Zelensky is Magog and not Russia?Afterall he and Azovs worship Satan.)

Upgraded Russian drone takes out Ukrainian jet(VIDEO)

Recent improvements to Moscow’s kamikaze UAVs have allowed for longer-range strikes

A newly deployed Russian Lancet drone was seen making adirect hit on the cockpit of a grounded Ukrainian Su-25 fighter jet, according to footage shared by war correspondent Andrey Rudenko.

The journalist published a brief video of the strike on his Telegram channel on Tuesday, noting the attack took place at the Dolgintsevo airfield near the city of Krivoy Rog. Filmed from a bird’s-eye view by another surveillance drone, the footage shows a loitering munition descending upon a Ukrainian war plane parked at the base, appearing to hit the jet dead-center.

“These images are notable for the fact that the Ukrainian fighter was destroyed by a new loitering ammunition with a range of up to 120 kilometers,” Rudenko added.

The Russian strike mirrored another operation captured on video late last month, when a Lancet drone successfully targeted a grounded Ukrainian MiG-29 jet at the same airfield. Moscow has reportedly made upgrades to extend the range of the kamikaze UAVs in recent weeks, allowing them to deliver payloads to distant bases.

Developed by Zala Aero, a subsidiary of the Kalashnikov concern, two known variants of the Lancet are currently in use by Russian forces. A smaller model can carry 1kg of explosives and fly for 30 minutes, while a larger version can haul 3kg and fly for 40 minutes.

Though both were thought to have a range of around 40km, the weapon’s developer recently announced “a number of innovations into the hardware and software complex of the Lancet unmanned system,” saying the improvementswould enable longer-range strikes beyond “direct radio visibility.”

Israel rubbishes claims of Russian involvement in Hamas attack

The allegations are “complete nonsense,” Israel’s ambassador in Moscow has said

Israel does not believe that Russia was in any way connected to last week’s Hamas attack, the country’s ambassador to Moscow, Alexander Ben Zvi, said in an interview with Kommersant on Wednesday.

Ben Zvi was asked to comment on allegations against Russia on social media and by a number of news outlets that it may have been involved in the attack and that the situation in Gaza is beneficial to Moscow, as it supposedly draws Washington’s attention away from Ukraine.

The ambassador responded by calling the allegations “complete nonsense.”

“Firstly, we do not believe that Russia was involved in this in any way,” Ben Zvi said. “Secondly, those who believe that the United States will have to redirect some serious resources to Israel are greatly mistaken,” he added, noting that the US is a strategic partner and will continue to supply it with weapons.

“Russia understands this. So all the aforementioned claims are pure conspiracy,”the ambassador said.

Ben Zvi also commented on claims that the Hamas militants who attacked Israel on Saturday were using Western-made weapons that came from Ukraine. “We have no evidence for such statements,” he said, claiming that the allegations came from the Russian side.

“Russia has contacts with Hamas, maybe this information was received from them – we would also be interested to know,” the ambassador said.

Kommersant also asked the diplomat to respond to the peacekeeping initiatives from the Russian side, which called for an immediate ceasefire and negotiations.

Ben Zvi insisted that it is unclear who Israel should negotiate with, as the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, has already recognized the existence of Israel, while Hamas is instead “doing everything to destroy us.”

“What should we talk about with terrorists?”the ambassador asked, saying that Hamas militants had already killed a thousand people in just one day and are beginning shelling from the north. “It’s easy to demand something from us, because we are a state. Try talking to the terrorists,” Ben Zvi said.

Hamas, a Palestinian militant group which controls much of Gaza, launched ‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood’ on Saturday, firing rockets and sending commandos deep into Israeli territory. The Israel Defense Force responded by bombing Gaza and turning off all of its utilities, as Israel made an official declaration of war.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Israeli authorities recorded at least 900 dead and 2,600 injured. The Palestinian authorities in Gaza have recorded at least 830 dead and another 4,250 wounded since the outbreak of hostilities.

(Zelensky peddling the conspiracy theory that Russia backed Hamas, and Israel will prevent more arms going to Ukraine, revealed are lies, of course.)
