I chose Jesus, I invited him into my heart, mind and life. He was just waiting for me, as He waits for everyone.
I don't believe that I am deserving of Him or of His salvation. His death was horrific and grotesque. God tried all kinds of ways to get the people to understand His covenant. They didn't. He came here to make a New One.
That's it in a nutshell. It's not that difficult to understand, but really difficult to put the pride aside and make the choice, apparently.

start off by believing you don't deserve to exist in the best of places that God may have prepared for you. - i didn't start off believing that, but i realized my sinful nature. i don't love unconditionally, i place conditions on everyone. i don't sacrifice very much, i am quite selfish. i don't self hate, but i see with open eyes who i am.
