Obviously you're gunna use your potions and elixirs before a boss fight. USAF uses Adderall for their missions too. If you're risking your life you might as well become enhanced. If you haven't used a pharmaceutical grade amphetamine before, you have no idea the benefits… it's equivalent to steroids for the mind and then some. But no one is talking about it being used as a massive advantage in school.

Street drugs should be banned, they're laced with Fentanyl and makes it way more addicting. Drug dealers are the scum of the Earth. There is the rare 'ethical' drug dealer, but they don't last long because they get robbed / abused or taken out by the more greedy dealers.
Amphetamines have their uses, as do many other pharma drugs. But it should be in a controlled environment through your doctor since they're more likely to help you maintain a proper dosage and not go overboard. There will always be that person that consumes the whole bottle though; it's not just with drugs but food, drink, etc.
Prohibition was the same, creates Mafias. Also gives opportunity to lace the drugs and keep the dealers in the high-ground, whereas otherwise Pharmaceutical-grade is 100% pure.
Can you imagine Kratom is banned but street drugs are basically legal and even Biden made the crackpipe program, remember that? I used Kratom, it was a perfect high, was even less addicting than coffee but better stimulative benefits.
