Recently, the element in my oven burnt out, causing a small fire in the oven while my bread was baking. A little dramatic but no harm done.
But it's an older stove and a new part had to be ordered in, so no fresh bread for me.
Happily, now my oven is fixed. Fresh bread time!
Baking is the best.
I find the old machines are often more reliable than the newer tech.
Some might say it's old fashioned, but I think the traditional way is often best.

You can't beat the smell of fresh baked bread. It really makes a house a home.
That's buttermilk bread: soft, white and fluffy.
Pumpkin bread sounds good too, I haven't tried it.
Sometimes I make cinnamon bread though, when I'm in the mood for something sweeter.
Focaccia is my favourite! Served warm with a garlic herbed olive oil is best. I'll have to make some soon.
