If you don't want to waste the goop, you might be able to give it to someone with chickens. They will eat almost all of a pumpkin. Maybe you don't want that to happen to your pumpkin for a while, though.

I do that with a recipe for pumpkin muffins- I substitute squash. The taste is pretty much the same, but if you like eating the muffins it cuts down on how many people will try them if you "confess" you used squash.
