If you believed that God was in control from the start, then you knew the truth before the choice was allowed to divide you. The bigger leap of faith isn't whether you chose to conform or not. It was trusting that God had a plan for the choice that weighed most heavy on your heart. A sacrifice of self works both ways, and the measure of what's in the heart, while understanding how perceptions play into our choices, is what counts most; not what's in the mind.
The Christian walk isn't that which determines the most adept of mind. It's the walk of the person that can forgive their fellow human being knowing that they are under the spell of perceptions that don't align with their own. A fullness of understanding can prove both as being brave in their decisions; with one being the faith in their ability and the other being the faith that God always was, and always will be, in control.
