huh, as much as a critique as I've been what I have seen in the news is different than that. They've done the hyperbolic anger thing. They've done the 'we're going to level it', walked it back.

they do a 'knock on the door' before they blow up buildings.

they are a faced with psychopaths who kill innocents and don't follow any rules of warfare . . .

As much as I pray for reform in Israel, to make it more of a multi-religious place, Hamas, is a political party, and they have shown themselves to deserve what is coming for them.

seems that way to me.

I am not taking sides about Israelis vs Palestinians, and I certainly have always thought that Bibi was a bit of an opportunist, but seriously? Don't you get it? we're supposed to be past the 'kill the babies too' phase of humanity.

I support the innocents on all sides, the people who are just trying to live their lives and are constantly drawn into the warfare initiated by profiteers and war-mongering politicians, who don't seem to ever be on the front line, and have no issues with sending other people's children off to be sacrificed, meanwhile lounging on a beach or suppering in a fancy establishment, not caring about the families of the dead or the proper way to mourn the fallen heroes, but instead only caring how it all looks on the news.

the no go zones in California include rural places that were given over to the illegal cultivation of weed many many years ago.

or other parts where it's owned by the department of Commerce and managed for the benefit of who knows who.

or national parks where it's very expensive and you can only go there if you can pony up the money.

Or parking lots in LA that even though no one parks there, because they charge you, they don't let anyone park. They say it is to keep down the traffic but the result is no one gets to use those places.

or huge parts of LA where they are trying to 're wild'

no go isn't so much about the people, but about the governance.

or how about places that some lawyers won a jack pot with a lawsuit against the military, and claim it as a 'wild life refuge' and it's really a bombing range?

or places that were given to some authority to run, and turned into an industrial wasteland.

California is full of that kind of stuff.

also those places that are too wild and desolate and if you do go there you'd better have an exit strategy, The Dead Mountain Wilderness?

or about the places that are like drug currior drop off points?

Yes, California is full of strange locales that if you do go there, you'd better bewhere (CAtfish Paradise on the river at the Nevada border)

as I got older I changed my idea of what is a great place to live.

I don't worry about a kinetic war.

where I am the issues are often toxic waste sites that are unknown.

In California I'd be in a midsize place, if I went there, somewhere along rt 48 maybe Placerville or somewhere near there.

Or even on the coast North of San Francisco

I wouldn't live in LA, nor in the Central Valley or anywhere near Silicon Valley.

I think that the foot hills would be the place for me, close enough to Reno, and far enough away from LA and SF.

and close enough to some cities in the valley if I want to do that kind of thing.

and fun and a lot of gold laying around in the rivers!

another point: I'm glad that they want to finally fix the mistake of making the LA river into a straight shoot to the ocean.

I explained one time to a Civil Engineer about how that whole part would be a great big river delta if the rain patterns shifted.

It could be a wonderful fisherman's paradise kind of place and a great source of food if it weren't made to be a drain.

and all the water that comes from time to time with the heavy rains that sometimes happen would have a place to be stored to use for irrigation for parks, or for the fish, etc.

The way it is now the water drains in a straight line, and water likes to ebb and rivers like to bend. That's the way a real river is.

When I travelled around California I met few people, but the ones who I did were just trying to live their lives.

I don't know about those criminals.

I remember going to Sacremento and seeing tape on the pavement near the capitol building with people's names on it, the names of politicians who were to be in a photo and I thought 'gee, if I left this here they'd accuse me of littering'

It was where they were supposed to stand for a photo shoot.

ya, how do you fix the issue of that state being run by criminals?

I'd say that it needs to be broken into smaller states but I hate the idea of them having more senators.

but when you look at a state like Delawere, they get two senators and they are tiny.

why aren't they merged with Maryland?

or Rhode Island, again, why two senators?

politics is so unfair and some states have undue influence.

as far as their tax code in California: the property tax, to me, is very very unfair.

anyone who moves there and buys property is basically a chump.

you really believe this and are advocating for this?

or are you being 'sarcastic'?

or 'ironic'?

you seem odd to me, obcessed and unware of what the real geopolitical situation is.

with all those American soldiers there won't there be a lot more eyes ready to testify if some miscreants start disobeying the laws or war?

everyone has the capacity to turn their back to God, anon.

I think that Jesus was warning about those who do that as a way of life, meanwhile pretending to be holy.

anyone could be that way, anon.

so Jesus was warning about anyone: anyone given over to being a hardened sinner with no repentance.

just wanted to know how you reconcile the unfair chumping of new comers.

in my state the valuation of the property determines the tax.

no one is forced to pay a higher percentage just because they just bought it.

the way it is in California long term property owners are taking advantage of the new comers.

from my point of view that is discriminatory.

go get a Bible commentary and read about them there or go to Bible Hub to find commentary, anon.

https://biblehub.com/

There are scores and scores of different explanations about scripture there, some of which I agree with and other of which I find curious.

find out on your own, it will be a lot more valuable for you if you do.

?

Jesus has a personal relationship with each person so what He does in their regard is between Him and the person.

so no one knows now who is or is not going to Heaven, anon.

If someone who follows a different philosophy than what you find promoted by Christians is pleasing to Jesus, and isn't a horror show, then that person, in their personal relationship, might be fine.

Remember Jesus said to many different people that their sins were forgiven.

So it's up to him, not some random anon who is an anti-jewish jerk. Ask Jesus, not the bigot who hates Jews.

asking that person to condemn a whole group based upon some book that was created to make profits for scribes seems to me to be asking that person to commit a mortal sin of being judgemental and condemning of people.

I'm not OK with it.

You're trying to draw out a sinful response and that seems like incorrect behavior to me, and I am pointing it out to you.

another point: why would you look to some seemingly jew-hating random shill on this site to give you a valid heads up on what Christians believe?

difficult questions about Theology can be bantied. There are no conclusions to be made about it in the interaction that you are having except the random ravings of an obcessive hatful troll who posts horror show stuff condemning others based upon his/her bigotry.

you said who is or isn't condemned.

I told you that no one knows but Jesus Christ himself.

is that clear?

you can read the History of this in detail elsewhere.

Jacob was given a new name : Israel.

all his descendants were thus 'the nation of Israel'

and then when someone needed a name for a new country they used his name for it.

much like the state of Washington was named after George Washington.

there were 12 tribes of Israel

of those 10 were lost (and not yet found)

2 were left.

those two were taken to Babylon.

all of this History is well known.

you can read about it in great detail elsewhere.
