Look up the original old English meaning of the world 'Glamour' It was always used as an action ie 'to glamour' ie to spellbind, to pass off what is old and decrepit or tatty or useless as something golden, shimmery, valuable, fresh, enticing. The word 'glamour' used to be employed to describe a magical or occult con job. Interesting how that word has lost it's origin and meaning but equally interesting how pertinent it is today to reclaim that old meaning when looking at 'glamour' in Hollywood.
