> they expect robust hiring in their compliance departments over the next 12-24 months

Those are some of the worst clock watching soul numbing boring ass jobs in all of cubefarmland.

A version of that is what became of much of Corp IT after '08.

Maybe for $250K/yr in a lower cost area of the country (kek not habbening) one could grin and bear it for a while.

Maybe.

>A little consistency in spam rules would be nice.

Exactly.

Is it a legal post (no CP, no threats, etc.)?

It stays.

Is it (or similar) not being posted in rapid succession over a short period of time?

It stays.

The current subjective process in place is agenda driven based upon how the admin feels about the poster at that given time.

Simple as.

Rapid succession is what VS does - where every 4 or 5 posts he's IP hopping and posting relatively the same thing again.

This Gould thing right now is basically doing that as well.

That's spamming and should be deleted regardless of the advertising angle.

If 8kun wants to make a no ads rule that's their business just say it if so.

Good luck policing it tho since every link to somewhere outside of here could technically be called an ad.

>problem is spam is NOT being removed

It's not easy to do when IP hopping is and has been so hot right now.

The issue arises when admins are actively removing one form of spam while allowing another to stay.

I understand not being available 24x7 to remove spam at a moment's notice, but any some spam is ok some is not selective response is when it becomes problematic as the blue hairs like to say.

Jim (or crew) has some kind of auto trigger in place and has for a while.

The good news is these days it appears to kick back off (like within seconds/minutes) whereas before it used to take much longer.

So kudos to them for improving things like that.
