Scrolling up comparing CDC C-19 deaths by week…left column is provisional data for 10-12-23 & the right is 10-19-23. I highlighted rows that are 6 months or older that have been altered within these recent 2 weeks. Why is data being altered as far back as 1/29/22?

Comparison of COVID-19 (pink), Pneumonia (purple), and influenza (orange) death counts on 10-12-23 (left column) vs 10-19-23 (right column)… labeled in bold if confused.

When comparing CDC NCHS provisional death counts from 10-12-23 and 10-19-23 it is very suspicious that data is changing as far back as seen in this video clip.

C-19 deaths changed as far back as 1-29-22 with 2 deaths added.

Pneumonia deaths changed as far back as 1-29-22 with 1 death added.

Influenza deaths changed as far back as 5-21-22 with 1 death added.

Why would counts be changing this far back?
