Indeed. I grew up knowing a family of them. Wonderful people. They absolutely DESPISE "Jews." Will not, under any circumstances, associate with any "Jews." They and their entire congregation (I'd been to their synagogue a couple of times as a kid) refer to themselves as "Hebrews" and want nothing to do with modern-day Jewry. They even refuse to speak Yiddish. It's wild. Their son is still one of my best friends, even into my 50s.
