I get some of you don't believe in religion, I ask you just quietly move past this post and let those that do believe answer this for me as I'm just looking for a peaceful conversation. Thank you in advance.
2 questions as I'm reading the Bible as a newb.
I always heard Jesus and God were one in the same. But as I read the Bible, Jesus mentions the Father a lot. Prayed to the Father before being captured by the Pharisees, how do you pray to yourself? Being one in the same, I take it more as, being the Son of God. Everything I read makes me believe there is God and there is Jesus, two separate entities. What am I missing here? I ask genuinely, not sarcastic.
Second, I hear people always talking about Heaven and Hell. Like "She was a great person I'm sure she's in Heaven". And this is something I just accepted based on how people spoke. But as I read, it seems to me everyone is "asleep" until judgement day and only then will the dead go to either Heaven or Hell, is this accurate?
I know these questions can't be answered with 100% certainty. But just wanted to get some opinions on this as I start my journey on this path. Thanks
