>Mike Johnson is SOTH.

>Was NOT on y BINGO card.

>TRUMP must of hand picked him.

If anything that's happening was predictable it'd be a lot more boring.

Just sayin'

She's not faking, just so we're clear on that. Look, Men can offer women 1 of 3 things:

  1. Great sex.

  2. Great amounts of security.

  3. Great amounts of power.

Marriage happens because of these things. Children happen because of these things. Divorces happen because of these things. Women stare at men with looks like that because of these things. So, let's recap:

  1. They have 4 kids. The sex part's run its course.

  2. His resume includes being a lawyer and well-connected Southern Baptist. They gots money.

  3. He just became SOTH, so 3rd in line to the Oval.

That look? That's a visceral satiation of some other sort, and it's one that a large majority of regular people will never truly be able to relate to.

Good points. #3 on the list is an endless vacuum of needing more and more of it to feel satisfied. So when the mood subsides, what's his next move, and what does that mean for the USA?

Religious people shouldn't be in gov't. Other than that, he seems super-duper, boy scout-y, and checks all the other boxes in the conservative list that make people have warm fuzzies and think about how they think Jesus would think about the situation. He was also very smart in expressing his pro-Trump status.

>Kind of defeats the entire purpose of government then, doesn't it?

No, John Adams, it doesn't. Gov't's sole purpose is to defend rights to life, liberty, and property.. uh, I mean pursuit of happiness. You don't need religion to do any of that. You do need to preserve people's right to believe whatever insane intergalactic zombie resurrection nonsense they wish, though. But people that believe shit like that probably shouldn't be dictating to most of us where the tax money goes - especially if that involves sending it to a place to build massive lasers to preserve a few stone walls that've been torn down a few dozens times over the course of 6000 years.
