Saw this from the time the police disbursed the two groups till the area was cleared. That flash bang was because two men started to fight. It happened once, and no more attempts to get physical were made.
The police also fired some paint ball salt balls at a few because they were not disbursing in the beginning.
Only two times I saw the police do anything. They never left their line they had formed around the area that was to be cleared until all people were gone.
The Blueline handled it pretty calmly. If this is as close as we come to a civil war type situation, I will feel all my prayers have been answered.
The fact that this is happening because we have a media flaming the fires with their lies and miss characterizations, of Potus and the facts makes me sick. I think 98 percent of this country would be grateful to know what Potus is trying to accomplish, if they only knew and we had a MSM that was honest enough to report the reality's they've been asleep to.

I didn;t see them corral anyone. I saw them ask both groups to leave from where they were standing. No one was corralled. They made have gathered together by themselves in a group to decide on what they wanted to do next.
I think your reading more into it. Even the Prayer group guy documenting the event did claim the police corralled them.
Actually they already scheduled an ANTIFA event in Charlotte NC a year and a half back.
The townsfolk, rednecks as you called them, came out with the church groups and marched and sang and countered it with a gathering of their own 4 times their size at the same time.
Nothing happened until the very end where the Bussed in ANTIFA people walked to the expressway , stopped a few cars, and the police gathered them up and took them away.
Not another attempt made by ANTIFA. Guess they figured the rednecks would just hymn sing them to death and they couldn't take it.
We laugh when we hear the liberals calling us rednecks. We also wonder why they want to leave their citys and states and move next to us so desperately when they find us so abhorrent. Of course our well mannered children, lovely neighborhoods and easy manner and respect for each other doesn't have a thing to do with it. But it sure makes it a wonder place to live, raise a family, have wonderful experiences and grow up and old together in.
I told my son I never wanted to see or hear he started a fight. But I added a little caveat … I also never wanted to hear he didn't finish one if someone started one with him.
A chipped front tooth and some dental work. And one college buddy he saved from a pack of 8 attackers trying to blind side and rob his buddy. And that was the last time, he ever had to finish a fight.
It's honorable, it has integrity build in, and I'm sure your son is a fine young man. I think when they learn early like that, how it feels, how risky it is to engage physically in a fight with another, they also learn real fast how to respect another and talk things through calmly if they can so they don't have to resort to the basics.
