Modern Danes are first mentioned around 6th century, coming out of Sweden, part of the "swedish nation".

 

Sweden was called Svíþjóð in old norse.

Svíthjóð - Svithia - Scythia.

 

"The Old Sweden" is even mentioned in the oldest viking sagas, where it is said Odinn and his tribe came from area north of Black Sea, exactly where Scythia was.

yes, but that was much much earlier, thousands of years in pre-history. pre-flood/atlantis when sea levels were much higher.
