I agree with your assessment being former service myself. The only explanation I can give anon is that it really is like a show being this is the deepstate side in control of the defunct USA Corp & they either do what they can with what they got or actually use real actors (idk). There is actually one more option, that this is the real deal but our systems & military have fallen so far below standard this is what we get.
