tohu bohu = vain, empty
The days of creation tell how it was made fruitful (opposite of vain) and multiplying (opposite of empty)
It's purpose is to tell the plan of Christ. Jesus said it all speaks of him.
If you read the Bible Jesus read, it speaks of him. Cycles in history are repetitive parables using live actors; all speaking of Christ, the cross and the bride.
If your Bible question concerns anything else, it is not the purpose of the Bible.
