That's what it's morphed into in my city neighborhood.
Saturday was the big parade led by a fire truck around a few blocks and then the Neighborhood Association set up some tables at the end of the route for us residents to put our treats on.
Hardly anyone is doing the door to door thingy anymore.
Same thing out in the burbs although I heard through the grapevine someone said they still do that in their subdivision.
