Look, TG has maintained a respectable distance from the Administration and has a great deal of political capital and public trust, thanks to his folksy presentation and his compelling arguments. Season him for a turn in a senior judgeship or at the DOJ as AG and he would be ready to take the next available (presumably RBG) seat. Many of us have seen this coming since the beginning.

Q-Tip: Great job on outreach to black men and Hispanics in the optics. AnalystAnon suggests POTUS bring up Prison Reform as a serious issue to un-do the legacy of the Clinton-era. It would force some accountability and some uncomfortable questions that concern these voters.

Q-Tip: AnalystAnon suggests POTUS propose a new campaign toward Financial Literacy for all Americans, with an emphasis on the working poor and middle class. Publicly encourage entrepreneurship and encourage personal investment in understanding how our financial system works, and how a family can best position itself. Q-tip: Optics on making the SCOTUS nom about the 2nd Am, not Roe v. Wade, have the potential to invigorate the base and improve turn-out in the midterm elections. Continue with the personal appearances in rural Red State and Purple State locales, giving strong and early support for key state-party offices. It's not just about Congress, and POTUS' word can change the turnout, if used wisely.

Q-Tip: Give Canada the option of being represented by a Consul at the Mexican border, taking any asylum case the US declines. See how fast the Canadian people start rethinking the Liberals.

Clearly, there wasn't sufficient positioning for him to do anything real at the time. It took a shift in power. But the groundwork he laid then was effective and will, ultimately, be one of the nails in the coffin.
