As an elected or appointed "public official" you are obligated and bound by law, to execute your duties of that office ethically, lawfully and transparently. Politicians, DA's, Judges, Prosecutors, Police Chiefs, Police, Sheriffs, Clerks of Court any elected or appointed office holder and all personel they oversee are bound by law to execute their office and duties lawfully. When a county, city, state or federal offical is sued they bear no personal liability for their crimes other than a possible reprimand, suspension or some other inadequate punishment.
