People are paid little to do a job because people are willing to do the job for little. If they don't, someone else will. It's basic supply and demand. A company isn't forcing you to be a slave for little pay, you can choose not to work for them.

It is gouging. I'm not denying that, or that it's not fair, it's simply reality. As long as people are willing to do the job for less, they're going to hire people for less.
It's my opinion companies need to be content at a certain point and stop looking to grow and maximize profits, but unfortunately that's not the reality.
The bible says the King of kings and Lord of lords is in us, and We are one in Him. No king is over us (except for those who allow it) and at the end of revelation the people can't be ruled (they can't me counted, measured. To measure is to rule).
