John Kirby [White House press conference]: [Biden] would veto an only-Israel [funding] bill. I think we've made that clear.

Reporter: Talking about getting Americans out of Gaza, [Biden] said, 'I want to thank our partners in the region, in particular, Qatar'. The leader of Hamas lives in Qatar, so why is [Biden[ thanking them for anything?

Kirby: Oh jeez, Peter. Let's take a step back here and look at this.

Reporter: They are a terrorist group that killed Americans and kidnapped Americans within the last month.

Kirby: Qatar has been helpful in getting those Americans out.

Reporter: If Qatar is so helpful, then why aren't we asking them to hand over the leader of this terrorist group?

Kirby: We are working with Qatar to get our people out, and to help get aid in.

Reporter: Can you segue Replicator and AI? Where does AI fit into the program? You're envisioning masses of thousands of autonomous, attritible, kamikaze drones, basically. Where would AI fit in? Targeting information? Command and Control architecture?

Pentagon spokeswoman [press conference]: I don't think kamikaze drone is the right way to think about it. You need to think again well beyond the kinetic side of this, and into the ability to deliver logistics, command and control…the idea that this is all about kinetic swarms, I think is very misleading.
