UK judge refuses to allow 8-month-old baby girl to go to Rome for life-saving treatment
A U.K. judge has ruled that it is in the 'best interests' of 8-month-old baby girl Indi Gregory to die, rather than allow her parents to fly her to Rome to receive life-saving treatment paid for by the Italian government.
This morning, a High Court judge has denied the parents of 8-month-old Indi Gregory the right to transfer their child for specialist treatment in Italy.
Justice Robert Peel ruled that it is in Indiโs โbest interestsโ to die in the U.K. rather than receive specialist treatment at the Bambino Gesรน Paediatric Hospital in Rome, which would be funded by the Italian government.
