Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson blasted the newly-elected Speaker of the House, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), for prioritizing the interests of foreign countries over those of the United States. Appearing on the This Past Weekend podcast with Theo Von, Carlson said of Johnson: “He’s a nice guy and I’m not against him… [but] if you think the welfare of another country is the most important thing for you as one of the leaders of our country – third in line to the presidency – you have lost the thread son.” Carlson pointed out that “the first thing” Johnson did when assuming the Speakership was issue a “statement on behalf of a foreign country,” adding “I was enraged by that.”
