Once a rich father told his son, “Inheritance means nothing without your soul. Go and learn meditation, it will make me happy to leave that with you before I die.”

The boy went to a zen master and told him he was in a hurry, his father was dying and he needed to learn meditation.

The Zen man said, “First rule of meditation is, don’t be in a hurry.”

The meditative man has eternity in his heart so time is irrelevant. No one ever dies. Only in the mind is all things.
