Dog Cancer Update:

Thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions on how to help my stage 4 cancer patient. He has been very much missed this last month, but I wanted to give you guys a report. On the entire situation.

We were told the dog has stage 2 at the end of August. We took him to another vet the next week and he said we had some time to get things going. My dog had stopped eating after that week. We were putting him on a bunch of things to try and stimulate his appetite. His overall health was poor. He could not hold his bladder and was constantly peeing in the house. He would tell us he needed to go out and he would pee 3 times before we could get ready to go out.

2 weeks later his is diagnosed correctly as stage 4. Its all over his body. He is in rough shape. I decided I would treat him like a family member and we'd fight for every last moment with him. We had purchased dog diapers and that really helped the sanity in the house. We started fenben, maple sryup and baking soda and sound therapy. We really pushed hard to make sure he was getting all the medicine he needed.

His last week alive, I truly believed the only problem he had was he wasn't consuming enough food. I thought if we could help him there, we would be successful. The reason I believe that is because he wanted to explore more when we would take him out to the bathroom, like he used to instead of standing right outside to go and then back into the house. His stream significantly improved and so did his bladder control. He was struggling to breathe from the lung cancer, but other than that it was the fact was not eating properly.

So anons, thank you for your support and encouragement. Any anon that is dealing with a pup that is recently diagnosed, get them immediately on the protocol above. Don't wait until they are too sick to finish the race. Start as soon as you hear the diagnosis.
