Who has qualified for the 3rd Republican presidential debate?
The 3rd Republican presidential debate is set to take place on Wednesday at 20:00 ET, in Miami, Florida. There are going to be fewer people on stage than last time, as Mike Pence has dropped out of the running and others are still yet to hit the threshold. It is expected that there will be five people on the stage for the two-hour debate. Those are:
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley
Tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy
South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott
They have not fully confirmed who has qualified for the 3rd Republican presidential debate yet, though.
What do you need to qualify for the 3rd Republican presidential debate?
It is harder to qualify for this debate compared to the last two. This time, the RNC said participants must have secured four percent of the vote in multiple polls and have 70,000 unique donors. All candidates are also required to sign a pledge to support the party's eventual 2024 nominee if they want to participate. The candidates must meet the requirements no later than 48 hours before the debate, meaning they must do so by Monday evening.
