Scientists Tu Youyou and William Campbell discovered the compound Artemisinin in the plant Artemisia Annua, this plant has been used to make Absinthe liquor for centuries. They named the compound Avermectin.

Japanese scientist Satoshi Omura discovered that the soil microbe Streptomyces avermitilis produced Avermectin.
Avermectin, which was subsequently chemically modified to a more effective compound calledIvermectin.
Ivermectin was later tested in humans with parasitic infections and effectively killed parasite larvae (microfilaria) (Figure 3). Collectively, Ōmura and Campbell’s contributions led to the discovery of a new class of drugs with extraordinary efficacy against parasitic diseases.

When it first appeared in the late-1970s, ivermectin, a derivative of avermectin (Fig. (Fig.1)1) was a truly revolutionary drug, unprecedented in many ways. It was the world’s first endectocide, forerunner of a completely new class of antiparasitic agents, potently active against a wide range of internal and external nematodes and arthropods.
In the early-1970s, a novel international Public Sector–Private Sector partnership was initiated by one of us (Ōmura, then head of the Antibiotics Research Group at Tokyo’s Kitasato Institute), forming a collaboration with the US-based Merck, Sharp and Dohme (MSD) pharmaceutical company.

Ivermectin was used successfully on PEOPLE in Africa for over 4 decades to treat River Blindness, caused by the nematode Onchocerca volvulus, and to treat Sleeping Sickness, caused by the parasite worm Tryponosoma brucei*. African River Blindness has basically been eradicated in Africa because of Ivermectin.
The WHO declared Ivermectin to be "One of the Top 10 Most Important Drugs" in the World. (in the 1980's)

The corrupt MSM has pushed a False Narrative on us for the past 3 years that Ivermectin is used for horses, not for people, and that when people took Ivermectin, they ended up in the ER to scare the sheeple. This is a patent lie.
Current web searches have scrubbed the 40+ year use of Ivermectin as an actually safe & effective anti-parasite Wonder Drug for humans in Africa !!
