>>1987225 Gowdy has never taken a false step. Lawfag, here, and he’s been everything you want to see in an ethical prosecutor playing by the rules he’s bound by. House rules don’t give him nearly the tools of a criminal prosecutor and his frustration has been palatable. Still, he had not thrown tantrums. He simply expressed a desire to leave politics and go where he can actually make a difference. An honorable man.
It has steamed me to no end to see him eviserated by people ignorant of the law because Benghazi didn’t turn out as they wished. They’ve been positively horrid - attacking his ethics, claiming he is a black hat, and the kindest have suggested he was being blackmailed so deliberately threw the case. Come on, people. YOU CAN’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT… especially when you’re relying on a straight shooter who plays by the rules. The thanks he has gotten has been feckless people insisting he deliberately threw the game - otherwise they’d have gotten what they wanted. Grow up. Life doesn’t always give you what you want when you play by the rules. To watch so called patriots attack the man’s character has just made me sick.
