US Censorship Accelerates Under Guise of Rising ‘Islamophobia,’ ‘Antisemitism’

Millenia-old religious conflicts on far-off continents that occasionally erupt in hot war are, if nothing else, an occasion for the U.S. government to muzzle more of its citizens’ speech rights under the guise of combatting “hate speech.”

For too long, Muslims in America, and those perceived to be Muslim, such as Arabs and Sikhs, have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks and other discriminatory incidents.’”

That a government entity called the “National Security Council” should be concerned with policing speech arbitrarily labeled “Islamophobic” by an organization like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is now simply taken as granted – no debate, no pressing questions. People expressing themselves in unapproved manners is now a national security risk, and that’s that.

And what constitutes an “Islamophobic” “bias-related incident,” precisely in this postmodern hellscape in which words have no objective meaning?

Matt Walsh does an excellent breakdown of one such incident recorded by CAIR, which the government is now relying on to justify its crackdown, in which a veritable horde of pro-Palestinian protesters shut down a street, surrounded a car, and stomped on it and kicked the windshield. The driver, surrounded with no escape route and legitimately fearful for his life, brandished a knife to stave the attackers off.

Iran Warns Americans Will Be "Hit Hard" If Gaza Ceasefire Not Reached, As CIA Director On Secretive Trip In Region

On Monday Iran's foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian claimed that the United States is desperately seeking an end to the fighting to Gaza, despite Israel being nowhere near dismantling and destroying Hamas at the moment, which is Tel Aviv's stated aim.

The foreign minister said that "the Americans sent us a message in the past three days saying they are are seeking a ceasefire," according to state TV.

This could indeed be the behind the scenes messaging now being advanced as Secretary of State Blinken shuttles between capitals in the region, having most recently met with with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday. So far he's on record as seeking a 'humanitarian pause' in the fighting.

More interesting is that the White House has simultaneously dispatched CIA Director William Burns, who arrived in Israel Sunday for top level meetings. Burns will also go to Qatar, and then Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

As with the Ukraine war, Burns is often sent to crisis spots to relay messaging that the US administration doesn't wish to discuss publicly. This could involve further mediation to get the hostages freed, or working toward some kind of serious ceasefire agreement centered on the hostages' freedom.

This could be what's behind Iran's Monday statement claiming that the US is frantically working toward ceasefire, given also world public opinion is fast turning against Israel, as the death toll mounts - as of Monday surpassing 10,000 deaths in Gaza. Al Jazeera reports:

Palestinian Health Ministry says 10,022 people have been killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 7, including 4,104 children and 2,641 women.

The ministry added that 25,408 people have also been wounded.

A US official described to Axios that Burns' trip is to "discuss issues of mutual concern including the situation in Gaza, support for hostage negotiations, and the US commitment to continuing to deter state and non-state actors from widening the conflict between Israel and Hamas." As for world opinion, South Africa is the latest to join a handful of Global South countries which has recalled diplomats from Israel.

Biden Regime Deploys Over 17,200 Military Personnel to Middle East Amid Rising Tensions

As tensions continue to build in the Middle East, the United States is making a resolute show of force. Over 17,200 military personnel from the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps are heading towards or have already arrived in the Eastern Mediterranean in what is widely viewed as a clear message to U.S. adversaries.

Last month, Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III outlined a series of measures intended to raise America’s military profile in the Middle East. Included in these measures is the redirection of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group to the area under Central Command’s jurisdiction. This addition supplements the deployment of the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, Navy’s largest and most advanced nuclear aircraft carrier, currently stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group will now join the USS Gerald R. Ford group. Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder addressed the deployments on October 23, asserting that while no one wishes for the conflict to escalate, the U.S. will not hesitate to protect its forces and interests abroad.

Of course the sad reality is this is nothing new when it comes to the nature of American exceptionalism, or the indifference of many around the world as a whole. Whether it be turning a blind eye to the carpet bombing of children in Gaza today, or those in Iraq twenty years ago, or the instantaneous incineration of whole cities á la Hiroshima and Nagasaki, or even casual dismissal of the mass genocide of over one hundred million indigenous peoples that precipitated the founding of our empire over two centuries ago. So long as people can be lulled into the comfortable ignorance of being insulated from the real world consequences of their governments actions, all is well.

This is partially the consequence of a civilization indoctrinated, psychologically subdued as casualties in the ever intensifying information war. Completely desensitized from the horrific monstrosity that is warfare; the obliteration of our fellow humans, particularly grizzly under the circumstances of false pretenses as established by neocolonialist ambitions.

Video: Armed Israelis Attempt Ethnic Cleansing of Armenian Christians

Israeli 'settlers' invaded the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City, to attempt the ethnic cleansing of the local Christian population.

Heavily armed Israeli “settlers” and police attempted the ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem’s Armenian Quarter yesterday, where Armenian Christians have lived since the 4th Century AD, roughly 1,600 years before the 1948 founding of the modern State of Israel.

On the evening of November 5th, armed Israeli “settlers”, accompanied by armed police officers, invaded the Armenian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, in an attempt to expel Christians from the area, seize their homes, and repopulate the neighborhood with Jews. By definition, the expulsion attempt constitutes ethnic cleansing and is part of a wider Israeli policy to remove Christians and Muslims from land that the Israelis want complete control of.

In what’s been described as both a “siege” and a “standoff”, Armenian Christians met the “settlers” and their accomplices at the walls of the Armenian Quarter and refused to allow them to advance.

As mentioned, the expulsion attempt, by definition, constitutes ethnic cleansing, which is defined as “the systematic forced removal of ethnic, racial, or religious groups from a given area, with the intent of making a region ethnically homogenous.”

Israel has long been accused of committing ethnic cleansing by way of the nation’s settlement programs which, as seen in the video footage above, involve armed Israeli “settlers” and law enforcement kicking racial and religious minorities out of their own homes.

The practice has long been used in areas populated by Palestinians and has repeatedly resulted in the deaths of residents unwilling to surrender their homes.

China Begins Imposing Masks Again as Coronavirus Cases Rise

Chinese officials are once again telling the public to wear masks as various respiratory diseases surge alongside a rise in coronavirus cases.

China’s state-run Global Times on Friday quoted epidemiologists who claimed the surge of pneumonia, influenza, bacterial infections, and coronavirus cases was not too far out of line with projections for China’s autumn and winter sick seasons, although their comments implied influenza infections severe enough to require hospital visits were picking up steam a little earlier than usual in the southern provinces.

Chinese doctors told the Global Times that “Covid-19 still exists and is still spreading,” but it no longer seems to “cause severe cases or lead to many deaths.” Only about eight percent of current coronavirus patients are presenting with symptoms of pneumonia.

The big concern at China’s hospitals this season is mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP), a bacterial lung infection that is usually mild, but can weaken the patient’s immune system and increase their risk of contracting severe influenza. Chinese school-age children are especially prone to contracting MPP.

This prompted health officials to issue early public advisories to “take precautions in a timely manner,” including the return of sanitary masks. The Global Times described the mask warnings as “advisories” at present, rather than compulsory mandates. Masks are especially encouraged in areas where children and the elderly tend to congregate, such as schools and medical facilities.

On Sunday, the Global Times reported that hospital pediatric departments are at “peak” capacity in several cities across China. Many of the young patients have been diagnosed with the double peril of MPP and influenza.

“Experts remind the public to be cautious about cross-infection of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) and other respiratory diseases, but denied a higher-than-usual incidence rate than that in previous years,” the Global Times wrote.

On the other hand, some Chinese doctors fear “this year is a major epidemic year of MPP” and, in a rare challenge to official pronouncements, the Global Times reported that pediatric cases in southern China are running considerably higher than in previous years. Some of the doctors quoted in the article claimed this is largely due to better diagnostic procedures, whereas in past years mild MPP infections were often written off as the common cold.

“The Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control has reminded that schools are prone to clustered infections. Therefore, they should reduce group activities this winter, given the superimposed prevalence of influenza, COVID-19, and other respiratory diseases,” the Global Times reported.

President Joe Biden is traveling to Bear, Delaware, on Monday to announce billions in new funding for Amtrak, even as the company fails to turn a profit, according to the White House.

The Biden administration is investing $16.4 billion in Amtrak, the national passenger railroad company of the U.S., to fund 25 passenger rail projects along the company’s Northeast Corridor from Washington, D.C., to Boston, Massachusetts, according to an announcement from the White House. Since its establishment in 1971, Amtrak has never had a profitable year and predicts that it will continue to lose around $1 billion per year, according to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

“The investments announced today will rebuild tunnels and bridges that are over 100 years old; upgrade tracks, power systems, signals, stations, and other infrastructure; and, advance future projects to significantly improve travel times by increasing operating speeds and reducing delays,” the White House said in the announcement. “Combined with Amtrak’s nearly $9 billion fleet replacement program, which will replace over 1,000 locomotives and coaches with state-of-the art and Made-in-America equipment, these investments will ensure that train service is more convenient and climate-friendly than either driving or flying.”

All Gaza telecom network to shut off in one week due to lack of fuel, Paltel CEO

All cellphone service and data in Gaza will shut off in a week unless an Israeli blockade on the entry of fuel into the enclave is lifted, the CEO of Paltel has told The New Arab.

A telecommunications blackout would both cut Gaza’s communication with the outside world, as well as suspend phone and internet services within the enclave itself.

Israel has carried out a brutal aerial and ground assault in Gaza since 7 October which has killed almost 10,000 people, including more than 4,000 children.

Israel has cut electricity to Gaza and prevented any fuel imports into the territory, claiming Hamas could divert fuel supplies away from civilian use. Humanitarians have pleaded for fuel imports needed to keep hospitals, shelters and telecommunication technology running to be allowed into Gaza.

Which Country Are Ron DeSantis and Opponents Running for President of Again?

“The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations,” George Washington wrote in his farewell address as first president of the United States, “is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. … it is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world.”

Four years later, in his inaugural address as the country’s third president, Thomas Jefferson announced “peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none” as an “essential principle” of his administration.

That was all a long time ago, and many things have changed.

Florida governor Ron DeSantis, who wants very badly to appear in history books alongside Washington and Jefferson, can’t seem to get his head around their best ideas.

He seems to think that being president involves “standing with” Israel, a Middle East ethno-religious garrison state that’s been known to spy on the US (see, for example, the case of Jonathan Pollard), kill US Navy personnel (34 of them aboard the USS Liberty in 1967), assassinate American journalists (like Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh, shot while covering an Israeli Defence Forces raid in the occupied West Bank ), murder American students (like Rachel Corrie, run over by an IDF bulldozer in Gaza while protesting the destruction of a Palestinian pharmacist’s home), and kill American civilian mariners (like Furkan Dogan, killed by IDF pirates on the high seas).

As a governor and as a presidential candidate, DeSantis can’t seem to make it for more than a few days at a time without pulling some kind of silly “stand with Israel” stunt.

Sometimes it’s signing legislation requiring all state contractors to swear a loyalty oath. Not to Florida or to the United States – to Israel.

Other times it’s lighting the state’s capitol building up in blue and white to show “solidarity” with Israel.

And always, always, ALWAYS it’s pledging bigger welfare checks, more military support, and undying loyalty if elected president.

Not loyalty to the United States, mind you, nor loyalty to American voters or American taxpayers. Loyalty to a foreign power – an overly demanding welfare queen of a foreign power, and arguably an openly hostile foreign power.

Nor is DeSantis alone in his weird obsession. These days, pretty much every major party presidential candidate makes at least one visit to Israel to promise unlimited American blood and treasure in support of its rulers’ interests, your interests be damned. And when those promises come back to bite us, they assure us that’s because Israel’s enemies “hate our freedom.”

Never mind all that Federal Election Commission business – where American presidential campaign are concerned, the Foreign Agents Registration Act seems more applicable.

Israel to retain ‘security responsibility’ in Gaza after war, says Israeli official

Israel intends to maintain significant control over the Gaza Strip even after the current war against Hamas, an Israeli official said Sunday.

“I don’t see any situation in which Israel doesn’t have ultimate security responsibility in Gaza,” said the official in a Hebrew-language briefing with Israeli reporters in the Kirya in Tel Aviv.

US President Joe Biden has warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that re-occupying Gaza would be a “big mistake.” Israeli officials insist they have no interest in doing so.

The official added that after Hamas is toppled, “it won’t be enough to do just a rehabilitation of Gaza.”

Soldiers detained journalists from the German public broadcaster ARD south of Hebron in the West Bank, where the team was reporting on violence by extremist settlers. Israeli army: 'IDF apologizes for any inconvenience caused'

Israeli soldiers in the West Bank threatened and detained a team of journalists from the German public broadcaster ARD, the network reported on Sunday evening.

ARD correspondent Jan-Christoph Kitzler was on his way back from an interview, accompanied by a Palestinian as well as a German network employee, when they were stopped by Israeli soldiers south of Hebron, according to ARD.

Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR), the Bavarian regional ARD station that operates the network's Tel Aviv studio, described the incident as an attack on press freedom.

According to the report, the team of ARD journalists were on their way to report on violence by radical Jewish settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank.

"The soldiers threatened us with their weapons and asked us if we were Jewish. Our colleague was insulted as a traitor," said Kitzler, the ARD correspondent. He said the situation only eased after more than an hour, once other soldiers and police had been summoned.

Israel Declares Most of Humanity Illegitimate and Irrelevant

After 120 members of the 193 members of the UN General Assembly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Israel demonstrated its increasing isolation by declaring the UN illegitimate and irrelevant.

Both the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly continue to grapple with the Israel/Hamas War, also known as the Gaza War, with the Security Council deadlocked and the General Assembly demanding an immediate ceasefire.

On Tuesday, October 25, Russia, Sudan, and Venezuela introduced a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire. The US introduced a competing resolution which called for humanitarian pauses to let aid into Gaza, but not for a ceasefire.

The Russian resolution failed because it did not win the two-thirds majority required to pass, and the US resolution failed because Russia and China, both of which have veto power on the Council, voted against it, as did the United Arab Emirates.

After the US resolution failed, China explained that it had voted against it because it considered it a green light to Israel. This is an English translation:

“The draft resolution is evasive on the most urgent issue of ending the fighting. And it has never been able to call for an immediate ceasefire in clear and unambiguous terms. At this moment, ceasefire is not only a diplomatic term, it means the life and death of many civilians. If a resolution from the Security Council is ambiguous on the issue of war and peace, it’s irresponsible, and it’s also extremely dangerous. It is tantamount to paving the way for large-scale military action and giving the green light to further escalation of the war.”

China also objected that the US resolution denied Israel’s longstanding occupation of Palestine, and that it:

did NOT condemn the indiscriminate and asymmetrical use of force,

did NOT call for a full, independent investigation of the bombing of the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza,

did NOT call on Israel to lift the blockade of Gaza, and

did NOT call on Israel to rescind its order to Northern Gazans to evacuate to Southern Gaza.

According to an investigation by Declassified UK, 13 of the 31 members of Labour’s shadow cabinet have received donations from a prominent pro-Israel lobby group or individual funder.

Donations have been received by Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, his deputy Angela Rayner, shadow foreign secretary David Lammy, and shadow international development minister Lisa Nandy.

More than half of the cabinet are listed as supporters or officers of Labour Friends of Israel (LFI).

According to Declassified UK, the donations were provided by LFI and Sir Trevor Chinn, a “philanthropist” active in numerous pro-Israel organisations such as the Joint Israel Appeal.

Armstrong says get tangible assets, and that includes gold and silver as core assets.

He also thinks the global economy will implode, but the USA goes down last.
