Fox News host Neil Cavuto pressed White House spokesman John Kirby on Monday about Hamas sympathizers sneaking through the U.S.-Mexico border after a deadly terrorist attack in Israel.

The Justice Department secured an indictment against Sohaib Abuayyash, a 20-year-old Palestinian who was in the United States illegally, on a federal firearms charge Friday. “Do you feel there’s a threat that some nefarious elements, including Hamas members or those sympathetic or inspired by Hamas, to do the same thing here?” Cavuto asked Kirby, referencing the Oct. 7 attack on multiple locations in southern Israel carried out by the radical Islamic terrorist group, and he added: “That maybe they snuck through the border and are here?”

An Oct. 20 memo from the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Division of Customs and Border Protection warned that Hamas and Hezbollah could be infiltrating into the United States through the U.S.-Mexico border. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas was unable to say how many members of the radical Islamic terrorist organizations may have entered the United States through the southern border during testimony at a Senate hearing Tuesday.

“We work in close contact with the Department of Homeland Security and our border patrol agencies to make sure that we can control and vet and to minimize any threat of terrorism coming through our borders, wherever the borders are, maritime or land,” Kirby claimed.“We do that very, very stringently. Over 2.45 million people have been encountered at the U.S.-Mexico border during fiscal year 2023, according to data released by United States Customs and Border Protection, following 2,378,944 encounters in fiscal year 2022 and 1,734,686 in fiscal year 2021.

“A lot of people do slip through that border, John and the feeling is that given the wider number of countries that are doing so, used to be three or four, up to a dozen, right now better than 140 countries represented going through there, are you worried that this is a huge issue now?” Cavuto asked.

“We’re always concerned about homeland security and making sure that our borders are secure as possible,” Kirby claimed. “That’s one reason the president continues to urge for more money at the border to help us with asylum courts and to help us add more border patrol agents on the ground to improve our technological capabilities there.” (He is not concerned at all. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the formation of the “expert” board to address issues of national security in September to include Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former CIA Operations Officer Paul Kolbe, who all signed an October 2020 letter casting doubt on the legitimacy of the Hunter Biden laptop and suggesting its release was a Russian disinformation ploy. The latest legal action alleges that the group’s creation was done in an illegal manner and that it lacks credible members, according to the copy of the lawsuit.

The Daily Caller News Foundation, as well as The New York Times, Washington Post, CBS News and other media outlets, authenticated the contents of the Hunter Biden Laptop. Additionally, there is currently no evidence suggesting the laptop was a Russian disinformation operation.

“Once again, by establishing a highly partisan advisory committee packed full of its allies, the Biden Administration has attempted to skirt the legal requirements established by Congress in the Federal Advisory Committee Act,” Gene Hamilton, America First Legal vice president and general counsel, said in a statement to the DCNF.

Both Clapper and Brennan also previously faced criticism for misleading the American public. Clapper once gave Congress“inconsistent testimony” about contacts he had with the media while in office.

Meanwhile, Brennan denied that CIA officials had hacked Senate Intelligence Committee staffers’ computers, a statement that was later proven false.

“In addition to not complying with the simple procedural requirements, the so-called ‘Homeland Intelligence Experts Group’ is an ideologically biased federal advisory committee that the Biden Administration established to rubber-stamp its radical agendaat the Department of Homeland Security–rather than providing independent, objective advice that reflects the views of experts across the ideological spectrum,” Hamilton added.

The board will meet four times a year to advise DHS on intelligence and national security efforts regarding “terrorism, fentanyl, transborder issues, and emerging technology.”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) asserted that the group is not in violation of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), as the lawsuit suggests, in a statement to the DCNF.

“The Homeland Intelligence Experts Group is designed to generate individualized input based on each expert’s knowledge and facilitate exploration of all sides of an issue. As such, the group is not subject to FACA because it will not be providing consensus advice or recommendations to DHS,” a DHS spokesperson told the DCNF, adding that thegroup is comprised of 17 members “of incredibly experienced, dedicated former public servants and private sector expertswho have served in Administrations of both parties and will provide invaluable perspectives to the work of I&A.”

A legal spokesperson for former President Donald Trump said that the judge in Trump’s civil fraud trial was trying to hush the former president because Trump’s explanations wrecked the case against him.

Trump and attorney Alina Habba clashed with Judge Arthur F. Engoron during the former president’s testimony Monday, with the judge threatening to remove Trump from the courtroom. Engoron ruled that Trump was liable for fraud Sept. 26, and ordered that several business licenses Trump held were to be rescinded, but an appeals court ruling stayed the order Oct. 6.

“There was a fiery exchange with the judge,” Habba told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow. “Frankly, I can’t even say it was with the judge and I… I’m very polite, I’m very professional when I’m in the courtroom, but thejudge did not like him finishing or explaining because it wasn’t good for his case. He is interfering. He made his decision, let’s not forget that, Larry. He made a decision on summary judgment. He found liability already.”

Democratic Attorney General Letitia James of New York sued Trump in September 2022, alleging he overstated the value of real estate holdings in order to obtain loans.

“We’re wasting all this time, and he won’t even let the president, who is the person they’re trying to get to, explain why he certified to certain values,” Habba said.“Why? Because the minute he starts to explain it, it ruins their case. He was worth more than his statement of financial conditions, and Miss James, her politics are not allowing to backtrack. She needs a PR team, I’m telling you.”

Real-estate experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation that Engoron’s ruling greatly undervalued Mar-a-Lago, the Florida estate owned by Trump, which some considered to be worth more than $250,000,000.

“We are obviously going to move to completely dismiss this case. There should be a mistrial based on some of the things you mentioned today that I can’t talk about,” Habba added later. “There should be a mistrial here. Bias in general, I’ll say. There is a judicial code of ethics. Those ethics extend to the entire courtroom and when you violate the rules of judicial ethics there need to be certain things that hold you accountable.”

A New York Times/Siena College poll set off a tidal wave of anti-President Joe Biden sentiment for the 2024 race from a handful of big shot liberals who appear to be questioning whether the incumbent is up to the task.

The poll found former President Donald Trump leading Biden in five out of six crucial swing states by substantial margins. Trump polls ahead of Biden in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Michigan by at least three points — if not 10 — in some cases. Wisconsin is the only other swing state in which Biden holds a slight lead within the margin of error over Trump.

CNN’s David Axelrod sounded the alarm Sunday morning, posting on Twitter, that while Biden should be “proud of his accomplishments” and beating Trump should, in theory, should be easy, “the stakes of miscalculation here are too dramatic to ignore.”

“Only @JoeBiden can make this decision. If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s?”

Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Ed Rendell said in a WABC 77interview with John Catsimatidis that “there is nervousness among the donors and some of the elected officials that Joe Biden won’t be a strong candidate because of doubts Americans have about his health. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Following the 2016 presidential election, a sensationalized narrative emerged that foreign “disinformation” affected the integrity of the election. These claims, fueled by left-wing election denialism about the legitimacy of President Trump’s victory, sparked a new focus on the role of social media platforms in spreading such information.1 “Disinformation” think tanks and “experts,” government task forces, and university centers were formed, all to study and combat the alleged rise in alleged mis- and disinformation. As the House Committee on the Judiciary and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government have shown previously, these efforts to combat so-called foreign influence and misinformation quickly mutated to include domestic—that is, American—speech.2

The First Amendment to the Constitution rightly limits the government’s role in monitoring and censoring Americans’ speech, but thesedisinformation researchers (often funded, at least in part, by taxpayer dollars) were not strictly bound by these constitutional guardrails.

What the federal government could not do directly, it effectively outsourced to the newly emerging censorship-industrial complex.

Enter the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), a consortium of “disinformation” academics led by Stanford University’s Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO) that worked directly with the Department of Homeland Security and the Global Engagement Center, a multi-agency entity housed within the State Department, to monitor and censor Americans’ online speech in advance of the 2020 presidential election. Created in the summer of 2020 “at the request” of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA),3 the EIP provided a way for the federal government to launder its censorship activities in hopes of bypassing both the First Amendment and public scrutiny.

In the lead-up to the 2020 election, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the American public and lawmakers debated the merits of unprecedented, mid-election-cycle changes to election procedures.4

These issues, like all contemporary discourse about questions of political import, were extensively discussed on the world’s largest social media platforms—the modern town square.

But as American citizens, including candidates in these elections, attempted to exercise their First Amendment rights on these platforms, their constitutionally protected speech was intentionally suppressed as a consequence of the federal government’s direct coordination with third-party organizations, particularly universities, and social media platforms.5 Speech concerning elections—the process by which Americans select their representatives—is of course entitled to robust First Amendment protections.6 This bedrock principle is even more critical as it relates to speech by political candidates.7 But as disinformation “experts” acknowledge, the labeling of any kind of speech is “inherently political”8 and itself a form of “censorship.”9

This interim staff report details the federal government’s heavy-handed involvement in the creation and operation of the EIP, which facilitated the censorship of Americans’ political speech in the weeks and months leading up to the 2020 election. This report also publicly reveals for the first time secret “misinformation” reports from the EIP’s centralized reporting system, previously accessible only to select parties, including federal agencies, universities, and Big Tech. The Committee and Select Subcommittee obtained these nonpublic reports from Stanford University only under the threat of contempt of Congress. These reports of alleged mis- and disinformation were used to censor Americans engaged in core political speech in the lead up to the 2020 election.

As this new information reveals, and this report outlines, the federal government and universities pressured social media companies to censor true information, jokes, and political opinions.This pressure was largely directed in a way that benefitted one side of the political aisle: true information posted by Republicans and conservatives was labeled as “misinformation” whilefalse information posted by Democrats and liberals was largely unreported and untouched by the censors. The pseudoscience of disinformation is now—and has always been—nothing more than a political ruse most frequently targeted at communities and individuals holding views contrary to the prevailing narratives….
