So the implication is that the neighboring countries gain from allowing the situation? Why do they (Iran, Lebanon, etc..) just posture and never react? Would the US spew rhetoric if Israel was attacked by another country or just start bombing? Trying to make any sense of this?

Even while they are attacking and killing, they are the victims. I get that but it would seem Iran alone could defeat Israel. Many countries don’t want Israel there.

Sorry anon is thick skulled. What’s the purpose of social division? I know some of the answer is obvious; easier to control smaller populations and not allow large majority of people to bond. But in this situation it seems to be back firing on Israel.
