At the risk of coming across as a dick:

Last week, maybe the week before that, I said (here) that the Space Force already exists and the awesome thing POTUS did was to significantly increase the funds for it.

The gal at the helm of the Space Force was almost at a loss for words.

Why are we pretending that the Space Force is new?

And here's the thing:

Everyone is someone's son or daughter.

A person above a certain age is allowed to make their own decisions for themselves.

Maybe (?) if the parents of these sons and daughters had treated their children with more respect and taught them about their inherent worth we wouldn't have to worry about this.

I absolutely HATE the "this is someone's daughter" rhetoric. Of course. Humans come from other humans. Thanks for the kindergarten science lesson. That statement is so naive as to be damaging.
