I was just discussing the Seehofer situation earlier today. That if Merkel fires him, the coalition government will fail.

We've seen a tweet and I've checked with DW.de and they say he is to resign. I don't see it as done yet. Sauce is in German.

The German parliament is run by a coalition government. Seehofer's party makes up part of that coalition. If he is fired or leaves, the coalition will "fail" and this means that Merkel will have to try to get another coalition to stay in power or call a snap election. Germananon, please help us with timing.

All of this, along with DeutscheBank being on the verge of collapse spells trouble for the whole world economy. It will not be all puppies and kittens.

Is it good in the long term, probably. Buckle up.
