i think its more of a correlation that anime appeals to a wide audience, but even more so with the more a person is dissociated/introverted. the type of person susceptible to mindcontrol/brainwashing are very disassociated types, so it would make sense they are correlated. but its very strange about the shooter using the mark to brand his targets, ect.
