Don’t be a moron. I lived through that period, heard all the arguments for and against. Jewish beliefs had nothing to do with it, although plenty of Christians believed old wives tales that the spirit entered into the fetus at quickening. That was just ignorance of biology and a sincere belief that the fetus was just a “wad of cells” until long into the pregnancy.
If jewish beliefs of first breath were driving the abortion train, Roe would surely have reflected that. Ludicrous to believe people justified abortion by claiming it lacked a soul until birth.
