Rho(D) immune globulin (RhIG) is a medication used to prevent RhD isoimmunization in mothers who are RhD negative.

RhIG is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines. Seems a limited use drug for a very limited population to be considered an essential.

I don't if anyone else has looked at the list of Essential Medicines per the WHO but a couple of the drugs stand out.
