Jon Levi, is that you? I really enjoy your videos. I watched your Portland, OR one many times. Made me sad and angry. Made me think about all the times I have been an 'inheritor', inhabiting a place that was very ancient or served another purpose.

My family inherited a panoramic picture taken on the field next to Multnomah Athletic club. The building in the background is gigantic and looks old world and has the markings of vines that had climbed the building and been removed and cleaned up, maybe to stage the picture? I never would have contemplated such things without your videos.

The foreground features firemen standing beside French fire engines, very nicely posed for the panorama. How in the hell does Portland,OR get French fire engines in 1902? I guess it's possible…
