Say I'm some superior intellect deity, alien, non-human lifeform and I'm on a planet with what I consider a "lower lifeform." So, I create different branches based off the same ideology. They're all similar in nature, but I tell them all they're my "chosen" and imply that I'm a "different God" than the others. I then tell you that you must go forth and force others to submit to my belief system. If they refuse, you are to destroy them.

Yeah, I don't get that people can't put together than most of the suffering the world (especially the West) has experienced for a thousand years or more has been "brother wars" between these three groups of the same branch.
I'm not trying to shit on their beliefs. If they find something good out of it, I applaud it and encourage it. I know many a based Christian, Muslim and even some Jews. I'm trying to show them the chains they've willingly put on themselves.
