Nice try, but 💯 incorrect. Localities made the decisions about beach closures. Localities in blue cities/counties were more apt to close their beaches. Neighboring localities beaches could be open. Stand on this sand, but not on that sand.
One of our biggest issues is activists judges. They have more power than the POTUS & Congress (or so it seems). The Constitution wasn't structured such that a judge in Bumfuck, Rhode Island should have the power to override the POTUS, but yet and still they get away with it. Trump did a lot of good his first 3 years, but most of the good he did was through EO's. It shouldn't have to be that way but he didn't have much of a choice. The problem arose when Biden became POTUS he simply undid all of those EOs. Before that, there would be a random judge somewhere who would stall anything significant that Trump had enacted up ⬆️ until SCOTUS would finally take certain cases and overrule the activist judge.
With all of that said, I would sure like to give a guy like DeSantis, a guy from a real middle class background who has a proven record of getting things done via legislation and whoreallyknows his way around a law book and understands the Constitution better than most. I'd just like to give that guy a chance.
