Challenge to Missouri voter ID law focuses on barriers faced by the elderly, disabled

The lawsuit might have some merit, but imo both Republicans and Democrats have reason to resist meaningful changes to prevent election fraud and crimes. When a person votes in Missouri (at least in my district) their DL is scanned. To me this means that with location data from phones, OCR election machine data and the like it would be super easy to identify HOW each voter votes, plus hoover up tons of information about the person that is now via Federal "REAL ID" crap connected to their DL.Someone somewhere has a massive database on everyone who votes or works elections.

Back in the day, I could use a local issued voter ID card that was updated if I moved. Plus there was no scanning of anything at the polls. The election worker looked at the ID, matched your name to the paper poll book/record and had you sign on the line next to your name. Kinda obvious if someone else tried to "vote for you". Plus there was an easy check on signature matching if the election worker was attentive. The signature on the voter ID should match what you write on the line next to your name in the paper poll book!

Get the machines out and don't use "ID laws" to hoover up too much information about us! (My 2 cents to "election officials".)
