A well written comment by "Tom" to a GP article
Anonymity isn't a luxury, it's a human right guaranteed in the Constitution.
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
CBDC's simply take the "search" of our "papers" to 100% of the time, with no warrants required. CBDC's are a blatant and total abrogation of the 4th Amendment. I'm still waiting for others to figure this out. Neither the government nor the central bank need to know everything I buy, whether it's a stick of gum, an old rake at a yard sale, or a box of ammo. If they think I'm doing something illegal they can do an investigation and take it before a judge for a warrant as the law requires. Just say no to CBDC's, or you and your descendants will eternally regret it. And that's even before we get into a digital monetary system being vulnerable to solar flares and EMP weapons that could shut down the entire economy for years without a cash back-up system. It was okay for credit cards to co-exist with cash. It is not okay for digital money to murder its competition.
