of such organization during the period that I am an employe of

Verdict reached in trial of David DePape, accused in Paul Pelosi assault
A jury has reached a verdict in the federal trial of David DePape, accused of bludgeoning former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul Pelosi with a hammer at the couple's San Francisco mansion last year.
Jury deliberations resumed Thursday morning after jurors failed to reach a verdict by 5 p.m. Wednesday. DePape was charged with attempting to kidnap a federal official and assaulting an immediate family member of a federal official with intent to retaliate against the official for performance of their duties. His attorneys argued that he was not seeking to go after Nancy Pelosi because of her official duties as a member of Congress and so the charges did not fit.
If convicted, DePape faces life in prison.

Paul Kessler, 69, died after suffering a head injury on November 5.
It is unclear what interaction Kessler and Alnaji had before the incident.
A suspect was interviewed at the scene. He was cooperative and told authorities he was involved in the altercation with Kessler. The suspect also said he was among the people who called 911 so Kessler could receive medical attention.
Kessler was still conscious and responsive when Ventura County Sheriff deputies arrived on the scene, according to Fryhoff. Kessler was given medical aid by the Ventura County Fire Department and taken to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, the sheriff said.
It was just before 3 a.m. on November 6 that the hospital informed the sheriff’s office Kessler had died, Fryhoff said.
