There are 40k hours worth of video, the way to tackle this is to divide up that task. In reality, the whole event was less than 8 hours, so if we can put a collage together per area we can accomplish this much faster. For example, put all relate videos together based upon time, then group by relative cameras per room. This way we can see what happens from camera to camera, room to room, as time moves forward.
