No hold-up. That alignment wasn't detectable with our current instruments, but could've caused a cataclysm. Something about precession, galactic core and Jupiter, IIRC. Perhaps a higher dimension is involved than 3D.

Epoch transitions are often accompanied by cataclysms. A useful warning must indicate the starting point of the danger period, not the mid or end point.
