To fix Catholicism (and Lutherans and a bunch of others) they have to get closer to Jesus and have a personal relationship. Also they need to actually read the Bible instead of having it spoon-fed read to them once a week. Ceremony is not that important; The confessional for example. Imagine how much blackmail has been done using that. You can go to the altar and pray for forgiveness without talking to a priest and it will be granted. Denying people communion is a big one, since nobody should be getting in the way of your relationship with God.

>Based on previous stories

Based on the account of multiple witnesses at different times in history, with multiple corresponding non-biblical historians such as Josephus, and Roman sources such as Tacitus.

First to be able to even make headway with the Bible you need to understand that Jesus sacrificed himself for your sins. Believe in this and repent of your sins (and eventually get baptized) Then start reading the Bible. Also pray. Prayer is an important thing; Ask for understanding, forgiveness for whatever you did wrong since you last repented, help to change, whatever you want. Start with proverbs and psalms, then read through the new testament; one chapter a day is good enough usually 10 minutes; psalms 119 is extra long though.

To be bigotry it would have to be a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience or simply unfounded opinions. In this case it is quite the opposite. Many of us have experienced, studied or researched multiple religions.

The bigotry is simply not there as you understand it. It is a simple differing of opinion, and to be angry without righteousness is sinful.

You don't need to go to a priest to get forgiveness from Jesus, but the general instruction of this sacrament is good. I feel however that it should include reading the Bible

I had to do it to graduate, not so much by choice.

That said, the only ones I find any merit in is Christianity (but not all versions) and Samaritanism. Most of them have been infiltrated or influenced by Baal/Moloch worshippers,
