Decentralization and deregulation of AI is the only way. While the communists and nazis push their "safe" AI bullshit, they, and their elite overlords, and anyone wealthy enough to take a plane somewhere else with some land really, will have no such restrictions. Laws only apply to peasants most of the time.
Bioengineered is like GMO. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's bad… but it's a safe bet that's what they used it for and you shouldn't trust anything with that label. I haven't seen any details on how they're using it though.
